Drawn to Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnership’s (NEEP) blend of technology and policy, he began his career by leading a HeatSmart campaign in Arlington, MA, where he gained expertise in air-source and ground-source heat pumps and public communication.

Passionate about addressing climate change and environmental protection, she focuses on creating healthier, more sustainable built environments and supporting a clean, carbon-free grid. Before Edo, Alicia led the Real Time Energy Management (RTEM) program at NYSERDA, expanding it to include tenant spaces and industrial settings. She holds a master’s degree from MIT, a bachelor’s degree from William and Mary, and is a certified energy manager.

Time for utilities to take leadership in the data access world.

The energy landscape is changing. In some jurisdictions, gas utilities are facing moratoria on new customer connections. Electricity companies are seeing initiatives to engage customers with behind the meter solutions. New dynamics in the market also run the gamut, from aggregators allowing customers direct participation in demand response, capacity, and ancillary services to solar and storage solution deployments helping customers avoid volumetric charges and optimizing for certain rates. Utilities are impacted by it all.
